;D h-e-double-hockey-stickso Everyone in the low-carb world! I am pretty new, just started my Atkin's diet 2+ months ago, and have lost a total of about 10+ lbs. It has gone very slow for me. I need to lose another 20 lbs. I have to say that this diet has kept me from feeling starved like most other diets I have been on. I lost my gallbladder years ago from stones, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about what exceptions should be accounted for because of this, if any. When I had my gallbladder removed, the doctor told me to go on low fat diets, mostly vegetables, claiming that I won't be able to digest the fat as before. Since eating low fat, mostly vegetarian meals is what I had been on almost all of my life, it didn't seem to make much difference that he was telling me to eat that way. But as the years went by, the harder I tried to lose, the worse it seemed to get. I gainned an additional 50 lbs, ate less every year than the year before, and exercised more than before too. I have had a lot of diarrhea the last month, and after eliminating many things that might cause that, I am wondering if anyone knows if this is due to not having a gallbladder? All info is greatly appreciated! A new friend in low-carb, bslim

I have heard to watch the fat. Were you eating a lot breads and carby stuff during the time you steadily gained? If you are carb sensitive that could have caused your weight gain. What are you eating on a daily basis right now? Losing slow, if you are still losing, is okay, just frustrating. I know, I have been a slow loser too. But why don't you start by telling us what you eat, and lets see if we can figure this out for you. Glad you joined us, Stephie
