I'm new to the low carb lifestyle and will be starting induction on Sunday the 16th. Any tips, motivational advice, and quick/easy recipes would be greatly appreciated!! I'm a speech therapist in a large elementary school with very little time during the week, so any tips for adjusting would be great. I'm waiting to start until Sunday because I finish up a part-time job this week...reducing stress and increasing time available a little bit more. Hope you are all doing well. -Karin

Hi and welcome to the board !!! I am happy to hear you are starting on Sunday. I always think it is a great idea to plan the start date of your new way of eating at least a week ahead. You will find by the time you start you will be ready, at least that is always my experience !!! It does take some adjustment to do low carb as it is so differant that the way we are used to eating. However, with all the new products out now, it sure is a lot easier to eat low carb, especially when out and in a hurry !!! As far as recipes go, just put low carb recipes in your browser and you will find so many wonderful recipes online. Some easy, some more complex, but being that so many foods are now not in your plan, there are a lot less ingrediants in most low carb recipes. I tend to be a meat and veggies person, salads and omelets and bacon and eggs. There are so many other choices available however. Low carb versions of so many wonderful dishes. Just spend an hour or so and explore the internet. Print out the ones you want to try, you can make up a recipe folder with all the wonderful recipes you find !! If you need more specific tips, let us know, and I am sure you will get some wonderful ideas from the members here !!! Stephie
