Hi everyone! I'm 55 & have 25-30lbs. to lose..I've tried them all & I'm sure I'm a carboholic!...so I'm going to give the induction a try & see how I do...I'm sooo tired of being hungry after eating vegy's & fruit along with only a fist-full of protein 3 times a day ..I love my coffee though..& yes I drink alot of water, but is the java okay to have?...also, is there a lc sauce that I can use for my meat while on induction?...otherwise it's so dry...thank you.. Hi winnie, yes, coffee does have some carbs in it, so just be careful, and be sure to drink a lot of water. Water is very important for a lot of reasons. It helps you to lose a bit faster but it also helps your body with all the protien you eat and you can get bad stones if you do not drink enough water. My doctor told me he has a lot of patients on low carb and the only ones who ever got stones did not drink enough water. What I have read over and over is 8 , 8 ounce glasses plus one 8 ounce glass for every 25 pounds you have to lose. Only plain water counts as water. I use A1 sauce on my steak, and there are several low carb sauces out now, look where they sell the A1 and stuff and you will find them. I just bought a low carb barbegue sauce and it is not too bad. It does help, I know what you mean !! You can cook your meat in oil or butter too if dryness is a problem, especially olive oil, but I have cooked even my steaks in butter on occasion. I have one of those counter top grills, like the George Foreman grill, and they work great, or we barbeque a lot of our meat. Be sure and look up some low carb recipes, you would be surprised at all the great stuff out there you can make that is just wonderful !! I am glad you joined us and look forwad to seeing your progress !! Stephie
