Hi Joe..
It think they put the *** in to show "YES" they DO mean sugar and Flour, as low carbers would not usually include these items. Usually when a recipe calls for sugar, a sugar substitute like Splenda would be used, and "protein isolate" would be used instead of any sort of flour. Just an emphisis (spelling?) to show it is not an error.
It`s great that you enjoy the bread.... always good to find something that helps you stay on your plan. ;D

Thanks for the follow up. I noticed the splendra but just followed the recipe. i am very happy with it and will or may add it to the eats permanently. It is more than not bad!
You know it is very important that it dunked well in the egg as that is a major concern! It also did not affect the taste of the egg like commercially available whole grains breads can do.

He hee! I am glad your soldiers are working out for you Joe! I HATE to bake low carb things. I made the Atkins lemon mousse once and it was absolutely heavenly, but it took me all afternoon and was gone in a very short space of time! Just can't bring myself to do it again . I may just give the recipe to my Mum and see if I can intrest her in making it for the family! I am also a bit scared that if I had a little low carb bread, it might trip my cravings for all breads again. I think I am an all or nothing girl!

I am new here and today is my first day with you all here on the board. About this bread thing, can you eat it on induction for the first two weeks or not?
I like toast to and I bought some low carb brown bread that has 7 carbs in it, is it ok to eat or not? Let me know before I go and blow my low carb.
I have been good on it all day and do not want to mess up now.
