I`m really worried about Diabetes.......... cases have increased drastically.
My sister has it.... along with liver and nerve damage.
One of my brothers was also diagnosed recently, so it runs in the famaily.
Must get the excess weight off to help me stay clear!

Diabetes runs in my family too. My birth mother and birth grandma and the last time I had contact with them, my oldest birth sister had all developed it. I have over a hundred pounds to lose and it does worry me. I have some of the numbness in my hands and feet and if it is from diabetes if I do not get the weight off soon, it could become permanant. I do not want that at all. I am determined to get this weight off once and for all, and keep it off and get fit. It sounds like you are in the same boat as me with family history, so we can help each other with this, support is so crucial !! Stephie

I have had a few tests, and have one of those Finger pricky things to test, but at present i`m ok.......... but tests DID show I was borderline. I have to get the weight off, or WILL end up with obese diabetes.
My Massive thirst is just from my Father...... nothing sinister....
But as you mentioned, if we dont lower our weight, we`re in trouble.

See, that is me too. I always have drank a lot of soda or what ever I am drinking, right now mostly ice tea, and not often enough has it ever been water, so of course, since i drink a lot, I have to go a lot !! Same as you, nothing sinister. BUt with the strong family history and my weight, it is a matter of when, not if. Now, once I get the weight off and stick to my low carb woe, I should not have to worry about it. I just have to take care of myself. We can do this !!! Stephie ;D

Do you all think that the low carb diet can help my diabeties type 2 ? I read where low carb and stop it from spiking and making you hungry. So do you think this will be the best diet plan for anyone with diabeties type 2?
