Don`t you just hate that? Some Doctors think that if you just stop "Feeding your face so much" you wouldn`t have a weight problem. They don`t continue their research in these areas, and don`t keep up to speed with new findings. I have had doctors perscribe appitite suppressants (hated them, didnt take them)....... last year I tried Xenical Tablets (nearly $100 a box ), and I was eating less than the WW points system, but weight loss was EXTREMELY slow. (that lasted 1 month). I lost more weight on WW than on Xenical, but couldn`t stick to WW..... I was either Hungry, or ate more than the allowed portions of certain foods.. (a little taste of choc leads to MORE..etc). Then there are those extreme diets, where you have to eat that awful cabbage soup all day, along with just bananas, or just eggs etc.............. this led to MASSIVE bingeing for me! I know Low Carbing works for me, so I don`t care what anyone else says. Then you have the "Well Meaning" friends and family. They just don`t seem to want to understand what you are trying to do.......... and others many unconsiously not want You to succeed, cause that would make them have to think about their OWN weight problems. (as the saying goes... {some people like a fat friend.. makes them feel better about themselves}. Others just cant see past the old food pyramid. Low Fat diets have been forced upon us since the day dot.... and some wont even consider that if they look around, they will notice a problem....... Low fat diets are NOT for everyone! Someone will ALWAYS have an opinion on anything you do....... so don`t worry, you are not alone. Your health is most important.... and if looking after that causes weightloss, that`s a Bonus! I used to worry about everything others thought about ......... then I stopped! Who care`s what others think? They are allowed free thought, just like you are... so do what is best for you. if you want to try something different, do it. It might not be the right choice for you, but you have to weed through the wrong ones, to find your own RIGHT one!. This applies to everything in life really.

Oh girl!!!! I know exactly what you mean by the cabbage soup diet....I can't stand the smell of cabbage and green peppers cooking together to this day! I know that the only person who is gonna be able to make this change in me is me and I know I can do it....IT'S JUST DOING IT!

it`s very hard to get started........ I found it difficult to start again recently, but once you do it..... it`s done.... then Just keep going (I know. easier said than done). The trick is to pre-pare food the day BEFORE you start, then when you wake up.... it`s there. - Cook some meats you like. - Hard boil some eggs. - Have cheese chopped up ready to eat. - Cut up some pepperoni salami. - Tins of tuna. - Salads already to go... - Diet jellies to have with some cream. - Little quiches I got a low carb protein shake.. ( incase breakfast seems to difficult) I`m going to make some protein bars as well. Handy to have in the freezer. It does get easier once you start......... The trick is to do a search for low carb alternatives to favorite foods, and maybe make some up and freeze. I know I have to find a waffle maker on ebay...LOL
