I have been doing a lot of reading up on this............. Seems a lot of people are useing it. (Must Be Unprocessed......).
It helps with menapause symptoms...... dry skin...... can be used on the hair for a deep treatment. Can be applyied directly on the skin for a moisturiser...
People are using it as their SOLE cooking oil of choice, and also injesting it via tsp.
It has also helped people with stalls, energy, brain fog......... the list is endless.
I`m going to hunt it down next week. ;D

:)I bought some and have started using it. The brand I bought is Wilderness Family Naturals and they have a web site, that is where I got mine. It is very expensive. I paid about 30 bucks after shipping and all, for a jar the size of a normal mayonaise jar, 32 ounces. It tastes pretty good but I have not been real sure what to do with it and need to research it more. IT is extra virgin, cold pressed 100 percent organic. I mainly use olive oil. But want to learn to use this stuff as I too, have heard such amazing things about it. ;D Stephie

From what I have read......... you should be able to get it from health food stores.
You use it, as you would use olive oil or butter....... People have posted chocolate recipes etc, useing this oil.
It is said that it smells funny during cooking, but the taste is great......... most haveing a slight nutty flavour.
Others also down it just on a tsp, or mixed into something else.
Apparently it is widely used in the US, so you should be able to purchase it cheaper from somewhere. (We here in OZ are slower to cotton on to these things..LOL).

I had someone tell me that they eat a tablespoon a day with splenda in it and it is very good. I have only cooked in it a few times, but when you open the jar it smells so wonderful, I love the smell of coconut anyway !!! I would think you could make wonderful candies with it and chocoate and splenda. I may have to try that the next time I make low carb candy. I will check out the health food stores, it probably would be cheaper there, that would be great !!! Stephie ;D

That would be great as I have no clue what to use the stuff for. I feel weird frying meat up in coconut oil as it makes the meat smell like dessert while it is cooking. Our fourteen year old asked what smelled so weird. When I told him he was kinda icked out by the thought of the chicken and coconut oil together. lol !! Stephie
