Okay...I did it. I ordered the Atkin's book from E-bay yesterday, I think I did pretty good too....96 cents for the book and 2.92 for the S&H!!! It should be here anyday now. Hopefully after I kick this carb addiction, maybe someone can help me with my e-bay addiction!!! I'm anxiously awaiting for my package...until then I'll keep doing my best. I did get the ingredients for the Route 66 diner Chicken Philly ....gotta try that one! Any suggestions for side dishes? I'm thinking noodles, but have come to the realization the noodles and rice are out the door, huh?

Wooo Hoo............. I LOVE getting a bargin on Ebay...... I too am addicted. LOL ;D Can`t suggest a side dish, as I don`t look at chicken recipes (Hate chicken )...... but maybe some vegies? ?? Enjoy your book........ it helps when you read it, rather than just going by the outlined plan.

I love ebay also, I have sold and bought on it many times !!! I think my rating is over 250 now, which shows how much I have done lol !!! I am so happy with how much this board has grown, we have a wonderful group of people now. I am very glad you got the book coming, it does make a huge differance to have all the facts but just having the list Dawn sent you should help you a lot. It is a great way of eating and once you get used to the changes it will get much easier for you. I do not even think about pasta or rice anymore, they do not even interest me at all. You will get there too !! Stephie

They most likely sent your book by media mail as it is the cheapest, so it will take up to ten days to get to you. I used to sell used books on half.com which is part of ebay and will be ebay soon, half.com will be gone, and you will just sell on ebay, and that is what they recommended . Half.com took a dollar of my shipping money for thier fee, so I only got enough to pay to ship the book and a bit for the envelope I used to ship it. I am not sure how it is done on ebay, but they do have to pay the ebay and pay pal fees which can be a large percentage on small sales. That is kinda why I stopped it. A lot of work for very little profit, as little as 25 cents on a book I sold for a buck.Which sounds like a lot but you have to go to the post office the next day for maybe one book and that gets tiring for that kind of money. You do not mind running to the post office every day if it is a least a few bucks, but I had to mail next day and sometimes it was only one book. I do however, love to shop for books online and have bought a lot of books used that way, you can get the same price as a used book store when you add in the shipping, but with the convience of it delivered right to you. Can't beat that !!! Stephie

I'm aware of all the stuff you have to go thru with shipping and all with EBay as I sell there as well as buy there too, it's just that I purchased the book the 11th of August and they told me about 2 days ago that they had JUST sent it off! That sorta bugs me but then again I live a ways from the post office so maybe they do too and only go to town just a few times a month. No real biggie....it's just that I'm still not on my new eating program as I had hoped to be by now. Aw, well....it'll get here soon enough.

It`s not very fair if The Sellers dont post your item within a day or two of receiving payment. If the only go to the post office once a week/month, they should INCLUDE the info in their listing, so everyone is aware. I have purchased from the US....... airmail takes about 1 to 2 weeks delivery, but Surface mail takes 10 weeks I paid airmail on an item once, and the seller sent it via surface......... apparently a lot of buyers were complaining about this from this buyer. I dont sell on ebay........ apart from haveing the wrong credit card to set up an account (they dont take Amex), I couldnt be bothered with all the mucking around......... and as mentioned, sometimes the final amount received for the item, was not worth all the effort. Hope your book arrives soon

This is so aggravating! It's been over 2 weeks since the seller told me they sent the book and I still haven't received it! I sure hope that it's just a mix up in the mail! I hate to think someone took advantage of me!
